If you read enough of these threads you will find people who say their pump was always broken when they needed it most and others who say their CO2 was broken when they needed it most. Each group now uses the other kind, of course. Another reason I carry both is that some day I will be able to be the first to say that I carried both and both were broken when I needed them most! That is why I now run solid rubber tires....

I actually did use to run solid rubber tires on my bmx bike back when I was like 12. I seemed to be able to get a flat after every ride and my parents got tired of buying me new tubes and decided to get a solid rubber one. Never got a flat with it again...... but being 12 I loved to skid the rear tire and I eventually skidded a bald spot all the way down to it lol.
