I looked at you local Craigslist and it's expensive. If you want to maximize value, a mountain bike or commuter is the best. But I understand if you also want to go fast and look good doing so. @ 5' 7" you might look into something 54cm and smaller.

selling my schwinn le tour 10speed road bike, it's in great condition, it's just too big for me. perfect for someone around 5'5 or a little taller.

I paid 75 for it a few years ago, and put new tires and tubes on it, have barely ridden it since.

it has an odometer on it that needs batteries.

I also cut the clips off the pedals.
