Good. I always leave the steerer long enough to require a 10 mm spacer above the stem. That gives me the option of raising the stem in the future and assures the steerer is fully supported inside the stem clamp. The later consideration is important for a carbon steerer and a good idea for alloy and Cr-Mo steerers.
