I was thinking about this more last night, and I'm really looking for the equivalent of Dr. Martins, in cycling shoe form. I know they don't exist yet, but they really should. something indestructible. I was in a lbs yesterday looking at shoes and their all way too space-aged looking/$cost-ing$ for something that will get destroyed in a season or two.

when it's full of water, and caked in mud, does it really help that the shoe weighs in at .003 micrograms, or whatever?
