It's not a vintage Bianchi, it's like a 2008 or so model year, most likely Asian-made (I have owned some 80's models in the past - and you're right, some of them do command high prices upon resale). This one, I believe, is not such; it probably was ~$1200 new a few years ago with Tiagra/105 groupo.
It has Cromoly frame and carbon fork so I thought it would be great for commuting around town. It's setup as a double and I had planned to use it for touring but the lack of low gearing makes it hard to push up the mountains (at least for me - I could always get some new knees, I suppose). I like those Cruds above, I'm going to order some - now just need the panniers. This is making me think about the frame, though, wonder if I could put big panniers on it without overweight concerns?
