I don't know enough about building a bike to help. However, I know the local Walmart stores generally hire someone to build their bikes when they arrive at the store. I'd recommend you contacting one or more of the stores and have them sort the problems for you right away. In the meantime, you can learn as you watch them either make the repairs or box it up to get you a new one.
