When I first got them, I didn't tighten them enough, so that when I tried to twist out of the pedal, the clip moved instead. I fell over on my side, in slow motion, and had trouble getting my foot out. Of course there were a lot of folks around (at least it seemed so; probably only a couple but still. . . .).
