Thanks. A common fix for the creak that develops with the BB30 is either lots of thick grease or a bearing gap filler substance like loctite or the specific loctite product for filling bearing gaps. The stuff I used was simply smashed out of that contact surface between the bearing ID and the spindle.

I tried a thin layer of grease before which creaked after a few rides.

Last night I cleaned everything and applied a generous amount of Phil's Waterproof Grease. Hopefully this silences it. The clicking is like having an audible cadence ticker.
