Like most riders going from platform to clipless, I fell a few times when I first put them on the road bike. Only twice since then, once was to avoid crashing with another cyclist and couldn't unclip in time and the second time I went off the sidewalk and the front wheel went into a hole. However, I have had more falls (some more serious) while riding platform pedals than with my clipless.
