I rode the first one (1973) as well. Did the whole thing, other than the last mile when I blew a sew-up and didn't have a spare. Still have my patch around somewhere from it. I think there were 114 or 116 that did the whole thing the first year. Haven't ridden another one, and not sure I want to with that many people on it. I thought 350 or more was too many. Maybe I will though.
