I'm considering taking part in the Houston to Austin MS 150 next year or 2013 but I'm in the UK. If someone also from here has taken part, please can you give me some advice for overseas riders? I have an Aunt & Uncle living in Houston so that will make life easier.

So far, I've completed the London to Brighton this year and aside from the hills, I had a surprisingly good pace! My moving time was 4h:50m on a mountain bike for a 54 mile route.

What is the ride like? any devastating hills or is it mostly flat? What are the overnight sleeping options? Is there any useful info you can pass on that you weren't provided beforehand?
