Bikes: You mean this week?

Any bike flipping I do is by accident more than design. I look for good bikes at great prices that I want to ride myself. When I get them home I do whatever it takes to make them satisfy me. That pretty much always involves a complete overhaul, clean and polish, and sometimes new tires & tubes, handlebar tape and any other parts it needs (which I try to find on sale.) Then I ride it. I usually end up selling bikes if it didn't really make me happy or it didn't meet my need the way I wanted...or I simply need to shed a few bikes. The next owner is always guaranteed to get a bike that is ready to go out the door, and I usually break even or make just a few bucks. So I always have a "new" bike to ride, I always have something to wrench on, and occasionally I find a treasure that I won't part with until something truly better comes along.
