I don't see how the velodrome makes enough money to stay in business...they charge next to nothing, concessions are cheap, they don't hit you for parking and they're only operational for about 4 months.

I think they get enough money from the sponsors. The name changed to Valley Preferred from the Lehigh Valley Velodrome, the Valley Preferred is part of the hospital I work for (which is FREAKIN' HUGE!) and has plenty of money.
I drug my wife there 2 weeks ago for the sprint finals and she had a blast! This Friday are Nationals, so that means Thursday will be a VERY busy day at the bike shop that I work at, which is right across the street from the track.
For $8, you can't beat going to watch some races, it's great!
