And obviously, at the same level of effort, the downhill is certainly much faster. 35+ at the about the same level of effort, 40+ with a minimal increase vs ~20 avg rolling pace on flats.
You misunderstood my point. AdelaaR was just pointing out that given the same power output it takes longer cover the same distance on a hill compared to the flat because it's slow going up and wind resistance is much greater on the way down. It's simple physics. I merely added that on small hill, the difference difference is prob negligible. You should read the posts more carefully.
