apparently there is some argument about whether lactic acid causes pain or not. that is news to me, but i know if i over do my riding SOMETHING is causing pain. and it can be intense for some time after the ride is over. like an hour or two. (and it's not muscle pain that i can get from weight lifting or stretching or more mundane activities either)

oddly enough i noticed that during a ride, if i experience thigh pain, standing up and hammering will temporarily stop the pain. unfortunately, the pain subsides only for as long as i am standing and hammering. then i pay...
