Pretty sure I'm gonna do this, but I just wanted to make sure it's not a big deal first. There were a ton of Miyata 914s and it's not a particularly awesome bike, right? I mean, it's a nice bike, but I'm not going to hell for filing off a downtube shifter on one before a repaint since I know I'm going to have this bike for a long time and use bar end shifters?

Also, there's still normal tubing under the downtube shifter, right?
