I don't understand the angst of the "Road guys" and him on a TT bike, SINCE he stated he doesn't get onto the aero bars in line, (unless he's leading,) And I'm sure if they had asked him not to do that either, he wouldn't have.
You all have me wondering how I am going to be greeted tomorrow evening at the first group ride I am going to do with a club here in NC. It's a "Beginners" ride, no drops. (I hope they don't boot me because I have the aero bars on my Allez!) OF course I won't get on them at all in the ride, but I did pull about 5 miles straight on them Saturday when I did a measly 22.4 miles, with the last 8 or so into a 3-5 mph headwind. The aeros helped me on that allot and I LIKE being on them when the conditions allow. (Little traffic, because yes,, I CAN'T stay as steady on them as I can upright)
