And the plot thickens: I got a message on facebook from one of the guys in the group, he saw this thread and decided to tell me what happened. The wife of one of the riders had a run in with a triathlete on a local bike path over the weekend and he decided to jump in with the other 2 who didn't like my bike and they convinced the rest of the group that I was an accident waiting to happen. He seemed apologetic, and stood up for me with another rider, but they eventually gave in to the very angry guys who wanted me out. Seems like it was partially about the bike, and partially about one guy getting really pissed off that some guy in a sleeveless jersey almost hit his wife and taking it out on me.
