I just bought
this jersey from Competitive Cyclist (w/ the 20% off apparel coupon of course) and I love it! I recently bought a Gore Xenon jersey from them to replace my Assos ss.Uno jersey (zipper broke after less than 10 rides

), but I hated the Xenon jersey.
I'm 5'11" 180lbs w/ a 40-41" chest and a pretty muscular build all around. All the jerseys were size XL. I weight train, run, and play basketball too, so my body doesn't resemble that of the typical skinny cyclist. I've struggled to find the perfect jersey, until now that is. The Assos ss.Uno was too tight and restrictive at the neck and the arms. I couldn't believe the zipper just broke like it did either. The Gore Xenon was too long in sleeve length and overall length. The pockets were also super saggy and everything shifted around too much since the entire lower quarter of the jersey was made of a very lightweight mesh material. The 3/4 length zipper was a PITA too.
The Giordana Silverline is perfect. The fit is great. Form fitting, but not restrictive. The pockets are supportive and the length is ideal everywhere. The zipper is beefy and doesn't feel cheap like the one on my Assos jersey. There's no zippered pocket, but I can live without it. I have some Silverline bib shorts coming in soon too. If they are anything like this jersey, I'm sure I will be just as pleased.
I know most of you don't care, but I felt like sharing anyways. I believe that the right apparel can make or break the ride, so maybe this little review could help some of you with similar body proportions. Take care!
