The only accident ever and it was a doozy. I was hit by a passing pick-up/livestock trailer combo. Hit in the left leg, broke the femur, tore away the left head of the hamstring and the sciatic nerve.
Spent 2 and a half weeks in a coma(and 89 units of blood), two months in the hospital and 18 months before I could even take one step. Six months later I was able to put away the walker and wheelchair and walk with a cane.
Never regained full function in the leg and my mobility is limited but I can walk a bit with a cane.
