Butted spokes means they are thick at the elbow, then get thinner, and thicker again at the end.. ?

They probably are more durable than straight gauge spokes cause they have more material in the stressed areas..

Anyways, they wheels are going to be my super durable wheelset for VERY loaded touring, dirt roads..

what I dont understand is this:

IG hub is dish-less to Boot ,

but I toured Happily for many years on a Phil Wood Freewheel hub, solo tours.

5X 48 spokes and a good tandem rim. Mavic Mod 4 was the choice, I made, then ..
You really need to stop using the term "dish-less" Fietsbob. All wheels are dished...and all dual-flange hub equipped wheels will have the "appearance of dish".

Better to say - all IGH hubs have minimal asymmetrical offsets if not symmetrical.
What does IG / IGH hub mean?

dishless / dished wheels?
