Knowing that what I was attempting was stupid, I proceeded to smash my fingers into the edge of my large chainring while removing a pedal. I didn't take the road bike down from its pulley mount, but rather reached up and tried to take off the pedals by squeezing a hex wrench against the crank arm for leverage. I needed pedals for my fixed gear, having broken the clipless mount on one yesterday.

Now I have two greasy, gritty puncture holes in my right index and middle fingers. Bleeding... This is pretty stupid for an old guy who knows better. PG
