Well Someone told me to put clear nail polish on the crack, and if the clear cracks after a ride or pressure its the carbon. Have you guys heard of this, I might just grab one of my wifey's and try it out. LOL I do have it on a Stand I bought from REI, I should have it lifted of some sort.
