My wife and I have argued about this before. She is a really "give everyone the benefit of the doubt" type. I think there are a lot of people like that out there. Not everything is an opinion. "I like pizza" is an opinion. There are many things people say that can be refuted and proven wrong, yet people still say "it's just his opinion."

I feel too often people are given a pass under the "it's just an opinion" clause when they should be called out as being wrong. It is okay to tell someone "That's not correct." I do it all the time, and not just on the inter tubes.

Folks that are anti-vaccine, believe in homeopathy, etc., need to be let known that their "opinion" isn't really an opinion. They are just wrong and believe in foolish things.
