Simple Green can hurt aluminum if left in too long. See OFG's post. I use it and maintain you can achieve nice results if you learn how to use it. I'm with Steve, I don't measure the stuff. I buy it by the gallon. I also use it in one of my ultrasonic cleaners. The other is usually filled with kerosene as Stage 1.
