I chose Chorus over Ultegra because

-better, lighter and more easily repairable grouppo
-more comfortable hoods for XL hands
-will wear in and not out
-can replace individual parts rather non user serviceable buy another mechanism

That's pretty much it. Shamino make good stuff but I got sick of replacing whole shifter mechanisms because a gear or spring had broken.
