The investigation had been performed, the police already had both parties statements, the only question was whether a party would recant them. She did thusly, hence the whole malarky blaming me was dropped.

Look, I didnt want to make something big of the whole ordeal. If she had stopped and asked me if I was ok, I never would have called the police. She brought it all on herself, and the husband was truly mellow and easy to deal with. He apologized to me profusely for her attitude and her accusations. I am not some militant that just wanted to ruin someones day. Someone ruined mine though, with no sort of apology, or even care at all, so she got what was reasonable.
The thing one has to be most thankful for in this situation is not having to share a life with her. She's the one who needed to apologize profusely not her husband. Greater revelation of character can become quite interesting when the veneer of one's insular existence is stripped away. Lack of any moral compass it would seem here. She threatened your life w/a 5000lb piece of steel machinery and then laughed about it in front of her children. Then lied to the LEO on the scene about you! Guilty of at least criminal negligence if not ADW when she didn't stop to check on your condition. Glad you're ok, but my pity truly goes out to her husband and children. She probably still thinks you're a jerk and she's a good person. Sad. Really sad.
