I generally ride in the evening after 5:30 PM CDT, and I can assure you I'd rather ride on a hot day with dry conditions than on an 85 to 95 degree day with high humidity. I have to spend periods waiting to cross busy thoroughfares and it is brutal, BUT when I start moving, my air conditioning kickes in: Latent heat of evaporation! I live 13 miles north of the Florida panhandle, so I know the OP's pain!
