Wow, that's a lot of upgrades! Saddle is the only one that makes sense to me on paper. Of course I haven't seen the bike...
The top two MTB frames I've owned had Tange tubing. Love that stuff.
She probably won't be making all those upgrades either, at least not so quickly. I recommended to her some good new brakes (Avid digit 7), a bigger front tire (the current one is only 1.95, and there looks to be a good deal more clearance), and a more comfortable saddle. A new shorter stem is necessary. The one on the bike is an aftermarket part put on by the previous owner to make the bike more rideable for someone taller. My concern with the seat tube is that for some reason it doesn't look like we can adjust the tilt of the seat. I will be taking a closer look later to see.
