No, it's pretty snug. I think the problem is more frame flex when I'm up on the pedals mashing, usually up hill. But, I've wondered if I had threaded cups in the bb shell if it would limit some of the flex. The threadless bb spins nicely but installs by expanding the adjustable band up into the interior of the shell.There's also a slight creak in the bottom bracket area when going up hills. I've thought it was the crank arms but they're seated tightly (even checked by the lbs) and the creak is still there so I've questioned whether it's the threadless unit and frame flex combination.
