New(ish) bike

I traded the trek soho s for this Bridgestone 300 single speed conversion plus $150. I think I could've asked for $200, but I was a little infatuated, and fuzzy headed (It was love at first sight ) after test riding it. It's a little slower due to the lower gear inches. 63 vs 69 for the trek. I'm not much of a weight weenie, but in stock form these babies are 26 pounds. Not bad for an 86 japanese steel road bike. The trek was 22.5, and bone jarringly stiff. 700x28 bontrager hardcases on the trek. The bridgestone has 27x1 1/4 kendas, without puncture protection. The Bridgestone is SOOOO smooth!! I put about 1500 miles on the trek, and the tires flatted about 4-5 times all together, that's with a few pinch flats thrown in. The tires were about to come apart and had lots of lacerations, and roughed up looking spots. I'm a little concerned about the kendas, b/c I ride through lots of glass on the short stretch of bike path I ride on. Nice eh? So far though no flats on them. So as you can see I attached some pics, one of the old ride, and many of the new, so tell me what you think. This was my first trade in the world of craigslist. Oh and I got the info of the guy who converted it. So I e-mailed him and he said he has the original gears and derailleurs etc. and would let me know how much he wants for them. If it's a lot cheaper than new stuff I might do it dunno. Oh yeah, the reason I did this is I wanted a steel framed commuter, that could take gears. My knees don't agree with the singlespeed although I absolutely love that bike. Anywho's let me know Thanks!
