Are you making the bike to take photos of it or are you making the bike to ride? The worst thing you can do for yourself is put on some bad pedals that look good in photos.
It being made to ride, its my commuter actually, but it doesn't hurt to have a nice looking bike in some photos(especially because i'm constantly riding with evil and some other buddies that are also into photography)
i think i've decided on the Shimano A520 after reading up on them. Plus they are more in my price range compared to those speedplay ones(which are very nice indeed, just $300 aren't something i'd want to possibly beat around on a commuter)
