I like the trim feature. I have 7900, which lacks trim on the big chainring. I miss it. In fact, I have not been impressed with 7900 at all. Dropped chains, missed shifts, shifting to the top chainring sometimes the chain sits on top of the teeth, etc. I know, I know...get a better mechanic. Oh yeah, and off topic too.
