I was in a serious (drunk,no helmet-shut up) motorcycle accident in 1986. Closed head injury,8 day nap and 6 month headache afterward. And I haven't seen any post recovery issues at all. You don't say where you're located. I received treatment at U of MD R.Adams Cowley Shock Trauma center. They gave me much grief about the motorcycle but the treatment was the best available. Perhaps seeking a second or third opinion may help.
