bianchi10...those are really nice wheels.
I stopped trying to justify bike schwag through expected performance gains since I am too fat to notice anyway. I buy out of the sheer pleasure of getting bike schwag and it motivates me to ride. Unless of course, you race and you want any and all advantage you can squeeze out of your equipment.

I believe you are in agony (okay, maybe that is a strong word) because you did your research and a lot of hand wringing prior to your purchase. You kept telling yourself that it is okay to spend coin on this because (insert rationalization here). Then here it is, the excitement of opening that box and mounting those wheels are not as exciting as the ride you were expecting.

It is the journey my friend...now HTFU already and ride the wheels hard until your next justified purchase! But most importantly...Dude, them wheels look freaking awesome!
Sorry, I was just going with the flow I wouldn't be able to justify a $500 wheel purchase since that's how much I paid for my whole bike, but my wheels are definitely something I would like to upgrade. I don't necessarily agree with the "squeeze a few grams out of your components at the cost of a couple benjamins" mentality but a pound is a lot of weight to lose on a bike in one go.
