I have similar views as tagaproject. My soul wheels are coming in less than two weeks. Tbh, I only bought them because of aesthetics. Whether it increases my speed by 1.00 or 0.01, I'll consider it a bonus. It is true that you have set expectations so high that you are experiencing buyer's remorse. I certainly did have second doubts (brand) when I purchased my road bike earlier this year, but what's our end game for cycling anyways?
I picked up this hobby up because I want to race and perhaps one day podium a road race. I still dream of it to this day. Am I trying my hardest to bring it to fruition? Probably not by a long shot. I have personal goals both short-term and long-term (to which I openly shared in other threads), but I'll be damn if I let my bike rust in my basement.
