Today I went for my second nonstop ride over 10 miles exactly 8 weeks after my hernia surgery. I feel fine in the surgery area, but am really badly out of shape aerobically, so I was breathing really hard on the climbs. It doesn't help that we've been having a major heat wave here, with temps well in the triple digits. Right now as I write this approching 10 pm, it's still 90 degrees and probably won't get much lower overnight. On a totally off topic side note, yesterday I bought a Kirby vacuum cleaner system from a door to door salesman. It's been a long time since I bought a big ticket appliance that was made in the good old USA.
