Well, I don't see any numbers being bandied about-- but I know I wouldn't pay over about $25 for ANY Huret Challenger rear, the front derailleurs are all about on a par, and I'm afraid I have to add that I see the chromed steel levers as a detraction (They add to the packing weight and there are many other alloy shift units I'd rather use on the bike itself) rather than an addition.
Now, that said, they do shift very nicely, and the round idler wheel gives a nice quiet operation. Eerily silent, in fact, and that reminds me I'm due to pick up my Challenger-equipped VeloSolex from the frame guy any day now. Looking forward to the miles and miles in a whispering rush.....
