"Is this where you got "disrayliegh," or is there some other common usage of which I am unaware?"
Feeling mischevious a couple of years ago I started a thread which roundly cursed hub gears and all those who used them. As the flak flew, it became clear that no-one could correctly spell derailléur. Disrayliagh, seemed quite close. There are plenty of variants on here.
