On Thursday afternoon, I helped reclaim a busy city intersection for pedestrian use. I actually got reimbursed by the Concert Producer.
I created a large piece of street art which says the name of the Concert Series "DOWNTOWN SOUNDS". That is actually a play on words, because this city , Glen Cove, is right on Long Island Sound. Unfortunately, years ago, a band of musicians from Connecticut named their band the Long Island Sounds.



I wet the road surface with water before applying the chalk. I did another one of these across the intersection on Friday night. Unfortunately , it rained today, before I could take a picture.

I think it reminds motorists that the street is for everyone, not just cars. It's cool having permission from the Police to do this.
