Hot ride in to work. Got dizzy a couple of times just after the halfway point. Slowed down.

About a mile from my job, a tree branch fell just a short distance in front of me. The branch was still bouncing and settling into place in 3/4 of my lane as I passed it with my tires kissing the dashed white line. I bet it looked pretty cool with me riding through the still-falling leaves and bark (they actually stung, slightly).

Just after that, a fella in a Gen 1 Prius merged back into the lane while still passing me; I was riding to the left of the oil drip line. I whistled, held two finger up close together, and yelled, "Hey, too close!" He was looking at me nervously in the rearview mirror at the red light another 100 meters up the road.

Scheduled an appointment with my LBS to get my rear brakes back in shape. Not too shabby for a week or two back in the saddle.
