Bikes: The keepers: 1969 Magneet Sprint, 1971 Gitane Tour de France, 1973 Raleigh Twenty, 3 - 1986 Rossins.

Best one I had, last fall, was a young, very petite, Oriental girl who showed up with two girlfriends and one male, all of like ethnic ancestry. GF's are there for support, male is there for mechanical expertise. And, after about 30 seconds, it's obvious he's worked for a bike shop somewhere. She giggles, loves the color (I hate that in women), GF's are chattering away, he's going over the bike with a fine tooth comb. After about ten minutes, plus a parking lot test ride from both customer and male, he looks at me and says, "You build a damned good bike." Having just watched him, I took that as a compliment.

They paid the asked price with no qualms. From the conversation, I was the fifth or sixth stop in the hunt.
