Just one minor comment - I've trolled around the Pearl Izumi site in the past, and I think their shorts cap out at 45" waist. If you weigh 300 lbs (or just under), I'm guessing these shorts are too small for you, which could be a significant problem. Forgive me if I'm out of line here, and congrats on the weight loss so far!
