Strike damage for sure. Look left of the cut at the scuff marks and small tear at the next tread pattern. You hit something! If Continental replaces it on warranty, I would be shocked but delighted. As for riding it, I would belt it for sure and move it to the rear. Maybe carefully probe the hole for glass or other debris.
