Depends.... I'd say our pace was "fast conversational". We went fast enough, but not so fast that we couldn't talk. On the flats we were cruising around 25-27mph... slower up hills... faster down.... Our average for the entire day was 24.3mph according to my computer. Not blazing, but not slow. The volunteers told us that there were only 5 riders ahead of us (out of 5500).
