In my area, I think LBS are fair in terms of complete bikes they sell as they will 'price match' each other on any given model that the competitor also sells. The thing I don't like however is the markup on all the other stuff like upgrades and whatnot. Usually I can find them cheaper online which is cool and they don't mind either but are willing to do the install for free/small fee.

I also have no doubt that if I ride on by and happen to have an adjustment problem, they would be more than willing to help. I also have the hint that if I needed any given tool to make an adjustment, they would be fine with loaning it to me if they were too busy working on 'paying' customers.

Overall, it's worth buying the bike from them, but IMO not accessories at my LBS.
