The ride was great! 600+ riders, more than 450,000 dollars raised so far (pledges can be recieved up until Sept 4th).

For me this tour will be for ever know as my broken spoke tour though.... Day 1, km77 I caught two ladies going up a hill, when I stood on the pedals to pass I hear a 'PING'. My wheel immedtiately is wobbly so I pulled over. Broken spoke, I tried to do a temporary fix by loosening the spokes on the opposite side, but I ended up walking for a few km (day 1 was only 80km). The repair truck caught up with me when I had about 1km to go, and replaced the spoke and quickly trued my wheel. I was off rididng again.

Day 2, km50 of 65 I hear another ping... This time I did a better job at a quick true and gingerly rode the rest of the way. Needless to say my wheel is in the shop getting relaced with all new spokes right now.
