Also, for the seat stay bracket, Honjo makes some nice ones. I mark the where the edged of the seat stay meets the fender, tape the bracket to the fender and drill through the holes. It comes with a nice backing plate and only costs a few dollars, a few places sell these. Looks tons better than the crimping bracket, is stainless steel and on other bikes it has withstood the tests of time:
