Find a bike fitter that has a fit bike, like this Serotta. Basically, you bring the dimensions of the bikes you are considering, the fitter plugs them in and you sit and see how it feels.

I did this before I got my Tiemeyer as suggested by Mr. Tiemeyer. It was pretty cool. I got to feel my bike before it was ever built.
