I don't like Treks because I don't like how they've acted in the past, in certain instances. Also, I think their paint schemes and decals are generally pretty ugly. Not all the time, just generally.
I'm pretty sure, however, that their top level of bikes are some of the most advanced bikes available. It's a big company, with a strong culture of performance and R&D. Many of the athletes who have won on Treks are big enough to ride whatever they want, as opposed to whatever their sponsor hands them, and they're perfectly happy with their Madones, etc.
